In 1993 the Commercial Vehicle Information Line was installed as a resource to assist the trucking industry and general public in answering questions concerning commercial motor vehicles. The Commercial Vehicle Information Line is staffed by a Motor Vehicle Enforcement Officer Monday through Friday during the following hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. To ensure timely, accurate and consistent information, a motor vehicle enforcement officer is dedicated to the Commercial Vehicle Information Line. Approximately 75 to 100 calls per day are answered on the information line.
